System Setup

This section keeps the current system defaults for wage information. These numbers are determined by law.

1. From the application toolbar, select File > Setup Defaults. The Setup window appears.
2. Select the System Setup tab.

3. The Calendar Year field displays the year that this application works with. PRPay prints returns for the year displayed in this field.
4. The SS Maximum Base Wage field shows the maximum base wage.
5. The Employer SS Percentage field shows the employer's percentage of wages payable to social security.
6. The Employee SS Percentage field displays the employee's percentage of wages payable to social security.
7. The Medicare Percentage field shows the percentage of wages payable to Medicare.
8. The Local Unemployment Maximum Wage Base field shows the maximum amount an employee can pay to unemployment.
9. The Local Disability Maximum Wage Base field shows the maximum amount an employee can pay to disability.
10. The FUTA Percentage field shows the percentage an employee must pay toward federal unemployment tax.
11. If applicable, click Save to keep the changes and exit the window.
