Edit Completed 480s

Once you have printed Informative Returns and created the electronic file, the Change Status option in the Print 480's window allows you to mark informative returns as duplicated, amended, deleted or corrected.

After making changes in the Contractors section, follow these steps to print amended Informative Returns:

1. From the Print/Preview section, select Informative (480s). The Print 480's window appears.
2. Select the company from the Companies list and the informative return type from the Choice form section.
3. On step 2, click the button and remove the Printed check mark of the contractor that was edited.
4. On the Print 480's window, click . The Select Contractors to Print window appears.

5. If the list is too long, you can search by entering the contractor's name in the Search by Name field or the social security or EIN number in the SS# field and click to the right of the field.

6. Click to select the contractor that was corrected. Make sure you removed the Printed check mark in the Edit data window.

To select multiple contractors, hold the Shift key in your keyboard and click the last contractor of the list, or hold the Ctrl key and click each contractor separately.

7. On the top right corner of the window, click the appropriate checkbox.

The top section of the printed Informative Return only indicates if the form was duplicated or amended. The electronic file indicates if the return is duplicate, amended, deleted or corrected.

8. Repeat steps five and six to change the status of additional contractors.
9. Click Ok to close the window.
10. On the Print 480's window click Print to print the return or Digital file to create the electronic file.

If you need to submit an amended 480 to Hacienda, make sure the Preparers window has the Resubmit 480s box selected.

11. Then, click Completed to mark the return printed.
12. Click Close to exit the Print 480's window.
