Deleting a Company

Follow these steps to permanently delete any of the companies in PRPay. Notice that when you delete a company, all the related employees, payrolls, contractors, and contractor payments are also deleted.

To recover a deleted company, restore your last backup.

  1. Select Companies from the Data Entry menu.
  2. For complete instructions on this screen, please refer to Viewing Companies.

 

 

  1. To delete a company, click the company, then click the delete button on the toolbar menu.
  1. The Delete Warning dialog box will appear. Click Yes to delete the company. The company will be  deleted from the company's list.

 

 

  1.  Click OK to close the Reindex files dialog box.

 

 

  1. When all users are out of the program, select File > Reindex Files to purge out the data and make sure your files are neat and clean.

Don’t mistake this option for the Purge option, which will delete payroll and contractor payment data based on a date range.
